Nutrition is one of the most important aspects of a pet’s well-being. What goes into their mouth influences every system in the body. Our doctors and staff are up to date on research in nutrition, and can help owners sift through the abundance of information on the subject. We are prepared to answer any and all questions you may have about what to feed your pet and the best way to do it.
In some cases, a pet’s illnesses can be helped through a diet change. The most common reason to change or adjust a diet is to help a pet remain at a healthy weight. We can also use diet to help manage conditions such as diabetes, bladder stones and kidney disease. If your pet has one of these issues, we can discuss how a diet change will be beneficial, as well as what the best diet would be for your pet. In our hospital we carry several prescription diets to help with these conditions, but if your pet needs a different diet we can order it specifically for your pet. Please come in and talk with our staff today about your pet’s dietary needs!
