Front Office Staff
Ashton joined the Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital Staff as a receptionist in 2013, bringing with her five years of veterinary customer service experience. She was promoted to Client Service Manager in 2016. While she enjoys all our patients, she has a soft-spot for rescues; She and Dr. Hiland work closely together in providing medical and elective services to the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue Organization.
Ashton enjoys days off work, where she can be found relaxing with her American Stafforshire Terrier, Rogue, or hanging out with friends and family at cookouts. She also finds cosmetology and all the intricacies of any medical field interesting.
One day, Ashton hopes to conquer her fear of flying and travel to warm beaches with crystal clear waters and salty air.
Lori comes to Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital with 21 years of experience in Veterinary Customer Service and management. She was a professional singer for 30 years before retiring from that in February 2016. She'd like to give a shout-out to her wonderful husband, Dave and her son in college. Matthew. She has 6 cats (Tinker, Wishbone, Twixie, Graycee, Ebbi and Purrcy) and a miniature Schnauzer named Brandi.
After retiring from a 30-year teaching career, Lisa finds working at Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital the perfect fit for her skills and her love of animals. She is an animal advocate, volunteering with 2 local rescues and with several local & national rescue transport organizations.
In addition to animal advocacy, Lisa has a varied assortment of interests. She can be found hanging out with fellow nerds at Dragon*Con every Labor Day weekend, and there’s not much that can drag her away from reading a good fantasy, sci-fi, or mystery novel while snuggling with a kitty! She enjoys country music concerts, traveling with her friends, and Georgia football. Go Dawgs!
Snoopy and Split, Lisa’s two teenage boys - of the feline persuasion – share their home with her. Every now-and-again, you might find a foster cat or dog there, too.
Sophia started working at Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital in September 2017. After being in the Real Estate field for over 10 yrs & self employed as a Real Estate Appraiser for 5, switching careers and being able to help clients and their pets is where her real passion lies. She loves all animals, but has a special love for Siberian Huskies.
Growing up in Central NY until moving to GA in June 2017 has been quite the change for her! Recently getting married, she inherited two rescue dogs, Mooch & Marley and has a beautiful calico, Sweety. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, spending time with her husband, reading her Bible and playing with her animals.
Lab Technician/Assistant Staff
Justin started working at Trickum Ridge in 2016. He started in this field in 2002 at Cobb and Cherokee Emergency clinics. He has a special interest in herpology, enjoys teaching and computer science. He has a son named Leland, 3 dogs, Paisley, Maggie, and Chopper; and 2 cats, Jean Clawed and Dixon. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, working on computers and doing a bunch of nerdy stuff that is too numerous to list but likely involves star wars.
Cathy received her Associates of Animal Science degree in 2002 from Bel-Rea in Denver, Colorado where she practiced for 6 ½ years. Cathy was born and raised in Marietta, GA and got homesick and decided to return to Georgia. She began working with us in May 2009 and currently splits her time between Trickum Ridge and our sister hospital Etowah Veterinary Hospital. Prior to working with animals Cathy worked in the business world, with a Bachelor’s of Management degree, as an Office Assistant Manager for a human doctor’s office. She has two cats, Luke and Leia. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, movies, and lots of coffee.
Michelle has been working with animals since 2005. She started working for Trickum Ridge in June 2011 as a tech assistant. She splits her time between Trickum Ridge and our sister hospitals Etowah Veterinary Hospital and Waleska Animal Hospital. She has a handsome but hyper reverse brindle boxer named Apollo and also has a 90 gallon salt water fish tank. In her spare time, she enjoys going on hikes with her husband, traveling and being with her family.
Ashley has worked at Trickum Ridge for six years starting out in the kennel and now as a lab assistant. She goes to school at Kennesaw State University and studies History with a concentration in World History and a minor in music. When she is not at Trickum Ridge, she enjoys hiking Kennesaw Mountain with her Golden Retriever or reading a book with her two kitties at home. She also enjoys spending time at her farm with her two horses that she also competes with in Hunters and Equitation at regular horses shows and Arabian breed horse shows.
Jordan started working at Trickum Ridge as a Kennel Assistant in December 2016. He is a biology major at KSU. When he's not working or at school, he likes to spend time with friends and family, and on the golf course.
Sarah started working at Trickum Ridge as a Kennel Assistant in 2015. She was promoted to Kennel Manager in 2016. Sarah has one Pit Bull mix dog named Bella.
Andi started working at Trickum Ridge in February 2017. She studied linguistics at the University of Georgia and is now pursuing a career of working with animals. She has two dogs- a dachshund named Gogol and a lab mix named Micah. In her free time she enjoys making music and spending time with her family.
Administrative, Grooming and Property Maintenance
Lisa started as the Practice Manager in June 2000. She attended Purdue University and received a certificate in Practice Management. She is married and has one daughter and two grandsons. Her pet family includes Luke, a Great Dane mix and two cats Mew Tin and Slater. In her free time, she enjoys boating on the lake and entertaining friends.
Tammy started working at Etowah Veterinary Inc. as the Humane Resource Manager in 1998. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband; traveling, riding motorcycles, and scuba diving. She has one daughter, two step sons, and two grandchildren. She also has a cat named Simon.
Frankie started working for Etowah Veterinary Inc. as the Inventory Manager in January 2015. She has two boys, Jake and Chase, and a crazy Shiba Inu named Tucker. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and being outside.
Larry has been doing contract work for our practice since 2010 and recently joined the us as a full time employee.
