Dr. Baker was one of those little kids that always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and took a steady path through her life to get to where she could have this wonderful job as her occupation.
She earned her Bachelors in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University.
She began working for Dr. Hiland in 2003 and has been with Trickum Ridge Animal Hospital and Etowah Veterinary Hospital since then. She loves that she is able to help her clients and patients when they are in need. She really tries to educate clients so that they are able to maintain their pet's health for as long as possible.
When she is not at the hospital, she spends most of her time with her two wonderful and entertaining children, small flock of pets, and ever supportive husband. That small flock includes her border collie/beagle mix Logan and 3 cats Bacchus, Mena & Mogwai. They all have some kind of special circumstance and she has really learned a lot about veterinary medicine just caring for her own pets.
When there is a moment to just do something that she thinks is fun, she loves to read, work in her vegetable garden and travel.
Her role here is to help your pets stay healthy and make sure that we are providing the best customer experience. If she can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to let her know. We are here for you and it is an honor that you have chosen us to share in the important role of caring for your furry family members.
